Is It A Good Idea To Invest in Vallejo CA ?

While all of Solano County is going up, Vallejo is lagging behind most of the County a bit, which has gone up over 8 % in the past year. You might have been out of the real estate loop for a while, but now that you are on line, reading about real estate, it will take you very little time to find out that yes, prices are on the rise.

You already know about tax advantages to owning real estate.  You already know that if you are paying cash, you are probably going to get a better return on your investment than keeping your money in the stock market.

I know very little about other investments, but I just looked up the price of gold and at least as I cut and paste this link, it looks like it is going down.  Tell me if I am wrong, but I believe this means that people are more confident in the economy. A clear sign that the prices will probably continue to escalate is that you,  as an investor are competing with  several large companies and hedge  funds that are spending hundreds of millions of dollars all over California, buying up everything they can get their hands on.

I just listed a short sale in Vallejo and we received a dozen offers in a week.
Last week, I listed an older home that has been beautifully renovated by it's owners and it is gorgeous.
This could be the perfect place for you to purchase and rent out and them maybe sell in a few years or keep it in the family forever.

This home is off the radar of many of the big-time investors because it is older.
The business model for many of these organizations that spend millions is to buy newer homes that will need generally little up-keep.

The surprise here is that the sellers just spent tens of thousands of dollars on the heating, plumbing and electrical systems.  So the home could very well be in better shape than one that is half it's age.

Because it's hard to get this information out to thousands of Realtors who simply forward data to their clients automatically, you are in a great position since you are doing the extra research to hunt down the hidden opportunities.

Besides the extensive amount of work done to this house, there is also a great deal of character.
Down in the basement for instance, you will find a bar and what was once a secret room, most likely used as a speak-easy.

A large corporation would never understand the value of this, but maybe you would.
